This guy is completely oblivious as to what the purpose of SOX is. SOX provides for greater assurance that any material misstatement in the financial statements will be prevented or detected due to the company’s sound internal control structure. However, SOX has NOTHING to do with the credit crisis as this guy suggests. It doesn’t matter how good your internal controls are, it will NOT prevent DUMB BUSINESS DECISIONS which is what happened.

Accountants and Lawyers will benefit most in a socialist america. Sarbanes-Oxley was ahead of its time for the current socialist revolution now underway. It’s a lot easier to nationalize companies when you raise barriers to entry.
